CatholicWorld is provided by Paweł Szczabel, a sole proprietorship registered in Poland, tax identification number 9910361892, address Wygonowa 51/2A, 45-402 Opole, Poland, email pawelszczabel@gmail.com.

• CatholicWorld — the service at catholicworld.eu, made up of CatholicNews and CatholicGames under one account.
• CatholicNews — the daily briefing on the Catholic Church, Monday to Saturday.
• CatholicGames — the daily puzzles, seven days a week.
• Account — your CatholicWorld sign-in, shared by both products.
• Guest — someone using CatholicGames without an account.
• Subscriber — someone with an active paid subscription.
• Daily puzzle — the version of a game published for a given calendar day.
• Archive — past editions and past daily puzzles.
• Leaderboard — the public ranking of BibCross Mini completion times.
• Entrepreneur with consumer rights — a sole trader buying a subscription for a purpose that, based on their registered business activity, is not of a professional nature to them. Section 9 explains what protection this status carries.

CatholicWorld is two products under one account: CatholicNews, a daily briefing on the Catholic Church published Monday to Saturday, and CatholicGames, four daily puzzles published every day of the week.

The four launch puzzles — BibWord, BibHive, BibLinks, and BibCross Mini — stay free to play forever, for everyone, subscriber or not. A subscription unlocks the newsletter archive, the full text of every story instead of a headline and five stories in full, the puzzle archive, and any puzzle added to the catalog beyond these four launch games as it launches. We never move something that was free behind the subscription.

Using CatholicWorld needs a device with internet access, an email address you can read, a current web browser, and cookies and JavaScript switched on.

Creating an account needs only an email address; we send a six-digit code to confirm it, and that code is also how you sign back in — there is no password to remember or a separate step to reset one. You must be 16 or older, which you confirm with a checkbox at signup — see the Privacy Policy's Children section. One account per person; do not share your sign-in code or your session with anyone else. You are responsible for what happens under your account.

You can play any daily puzzle as a guest, without an account. Guest progress is stored in your browser and can be lost if you clear it. If you later create an account or sign in on the same device, we offer to move that progress — including your streak — onto the account, and tell you exactly what moved.

Play fairly: no bots, scripts, or automation, and no exploiting a bug rather than reporting it. A completion time is measured by our server, never by your device, and a result we cannot verify does not enter the leaderboard. Once solved, a puzzle stays solved on your record, even if we later correct a defect in it — see section 12.

A nickname is the only content you can publish through CatholicWorld, on the leaderboard. It must not be unlawful, threatening, hateful, obscene, or impersonate someone else, and it must not contain contact details or advertising. We review reports about nicknames — see section 13 — and may reject a nickname, remove leaderboard entries, or restrict your access to the leaderboard if you break this rule.

Every edition, puzzle, and piece of artwork on CatholicWorld belongs to us. You may use it for your own personal, non-commercial reading and playing. You may not copy the archive in bulk, and you may not publish a puzzle's solution before the day it covers has ended. Sharing your own result — a score, a time, a completed grid — without the solution is explicitly fine; that is what the share feature is for.

Two plans: $14.99 a year, or $1.99 a month. The monthly price never changes and is never discounted. The first 100 annual subscriptions cost $7.49 for the first year as a launch promotion; every renewal, and every annual subscription after the first 100, is at the regular $14.99. We show you the renewal price before you pay, not buried in these terms.

A subscription renews automatically at the end of its period, at the regular price, until you cancel. We email you 7 days before you are charged, stating the price and the date.

Payment is handled by Easytools (easy.tools) on our Stripe account. Buying a subscription automatically creates you a customer account with Easytools, under its own terms at easy.tools/terms-customers. That account is separate from your CatholicWorld account — it exists to process your order and manage your billing, not to sign you in here. Prices are in US dollars.

If you are a consumer, or an entrepreneur with consumer rights as defined in section 2, you can withdraw from a purchase within 14 days of buying it, without giving a reason.

Because a subscription gives you access immediately, this right ends early if you explicitly ask us to start before the 14 days are up and confirm you understand you are giving up the right of withdrawal by doing so. We ask for that with an unticked checkbox next to the payment button, reading:

"I ask CatholicWorld to give me access immediately, before the 14-day withdrawal period ends. I understand that once access is granted I lose my right to withdraw from this contract."

If you do not tick it, we simply wait: access starts once the 14 days have passed, or earlier if you tick the box from your account settings instead. A model withdrawal statement, and where to send it, is at the end of this document.

Separately from this legal right, and regardless of whether it still applies: ask us for a refund within 30 days of any purchase and we will give it to you, no questions asked.

An entrepreneur with consumer rights keeps this protection, and the protections against unfair contract terms and under our statutory warranty, only for as long as the purchase is not of a professional nature to them, judged against their registered business activity. A purchase that is professional in nature for that entrepreneur is not covered by this section.

Cancel any time from your account settings, with no need to contact us. Cancelling takes effect at the end of the period you already paid for — you keep access until then, and it is not renewed afterwards. Cancelling does not delete your data; see the Privacy Policy for what happens to your account if you also ask us to delete it.

We provide CatholicWorld with reasonable care, but we do not promise it is never interrupted. A technical interruption never breaks your streak.

If we find a defect in a published puzzle or an error in a published edition, we correct it and note that a correction was made. A puzzle withdrawn because of a defect is never counted as a loss on your record, and where an error broke a streak, a correction can restore it.

Our liability follows the general rules of Polish law; we do not exclude anything the law does not let us exclude against a consumer. Editions of CatholicNews are informational and are not professional, legal, medical, or spiritual advice.

The only content CatholicWorld users can publish is a leaderboard nickname. If you believe a nickname, or anything else on CatholicWorld, is illegal, report it to pawelszczabel@gmail.com with enough detail to find it, an explanation of why you believe it is illegal, and how to reach you. This is our single point of contact for this purpose, for users, national authorities, the European Commission, and the European Board for Digital Services alike, reachable in Polish or English.

We assess every report diligently, objectively, and without arbitrary bias, and decide within 30 days. If we act, we tell whoever submitted the content what we did and why, without undue delay. A decision can be: restricting or removing the content, restricting a feature for you, suspending or terminating your account, or finding the report unfounded. You can appeal any decision within 14 days of receiving it; we consider an appeal within 14 days.

We email you at least 14 days before a change to these terms takes effect. If you do not agree, you can cancel without penalty. A change never applies retroactively to a period you already paid for.

These terms are governed by Polish law. If you are a consumer, this does not take away the protection of mandatory rules in the country where you normally live — where those rules give you more protection than Polish law, they apply instead.

We try to resolve a dispute directly first. A consumer can also use out-of-court dispute resolution available in their own country after our complaint process — for example, a Trade Inspection arbitration court or a local consumer ombudsman in Poland. We do not link to the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform because it stopped operating in 2025.
